Newsflash: Travelling Lemon was seen in Wrocław, Poland!

I almost gave up on taking those photos. Something was always wrong: bad hair day, bad weather, bad mood, forgot my camera, didn’t have a lemon… I thought of taking these photos just this morning, when I got up and my mother told me she’s not going to her English classes and I’d be stuck at home with her all day. I was going to go out, but only for an hour and I’d be back too soon. So I called my friend and we went on our adventure.

On the first picture there’s a dwarf - dwarves have been Wrocław’s symbol since the 80s. You know how we had communism after IInd world war? Someone came up with the idea of grafitting and painting dwarves on goverment slogans. People didn’t know what the dwarves meant and it was supposed to encourage them to thinking on their own. The movement was called Orange Alternative and you can read more about it on wikipedia if you want to. The one I photographed is sitting near a bank and it’s handing out money.

On the second picture there is a bit of Sand Bridge - that’s the red barrier - which was built sometime in XII century. It’s very close to my university, I really have to just cross the street. That water is Odra River and in the background you can see our cathedral.

On the third there is the cathedral again, but closer. Isn’t it beautiful? And you know, when I was taking the photo, yellow car drove past me!

And that’s me on the fourth - looking very British in my blouse and Mycroft-like with an umbrella. Also a bit Tenth Doctor because beige converse. Behind me is Wrocław’s National Museum, famous not only for being a museum and having old stuff inside, but also for that ivy.

While we were taking photos, one man stood behind my friend’s back and watched me pose for photos (they’re not here) and he looked very confused. I told him, ‘it’s all right, we’re not drunk, this is just a project we’re doing’ and he nodded and quickly ran off. I think I scared him.

Apart from that, many people have complimented the lemon for being a very patient, pretty and adorable model. We actually met a girl who was taking a photo of a small mouse - you know, like the ones for cats - she was on her own, she seemed very shy and was frightened when she saw that I noticed her mouse. She quickly took it off (we were actually waiting in the same spot we chose to take the photo) and she was about to ran off when I told he she shouldn’t be embarassed, I have a lemon! She laughed at me, wished me luck, but quickly went away. It was hilarious, we were both convinced we’re doing something weird and we met someone who looked even weirder.

It was nice. Not a bad way to spend my name day - which everyone forgot, including my parents.

Loki takes what he wants.

I spent most of my day with a friend, taking photos for The Travelling Lemon. People kept laughing at me for putting the lemon in some very inappropriate places, and I had to assure one gentlemen that we are not drunk.
